- Review Program Milestones: Consult the DNP Program Milestones document and identify applicable domains, competencies, and milestones. Not all courses have milestones, so be sure to check for specific ones related to this course.
- Identify Practice Immersion Experiences: Determine the immersion experiences that will help meet each competency. Outline the number of hours required to meet these goals. Incorporate core course concepts to reflect on and improve current practice, and integrate scholarly readings to develop case reports that demonstrate increasing proficiency.
- Develop a Personal Plan: Use the ISP to create a personal plan for completing immersion hours and meeting competencies. Highlight all key milestones and deliverables in the timeline.
- List Deliverables: Include specific deliverables in the ISP such as individualized DNP practice immersion contracts, logs of immersion hours, evaluations, scholarly activities, CV updates, self-assessments, reflective journals, and DPI Project milestones.
- Mandatory Preconference and Postconference: A preconference and postconference are required for all DNP courses (from DNP-805 and DNP-815A onward). These meetings may be conducted in person or via technology, and signed documents must be uploaded to the digital classroom by the end of Topic 1.
